Often I have boaters come to the shop with too big a melon to fit in other brands XL helmets. Just recently a few west coast boaters turned me on to Ruroc, a snowsports and motorcycle helmet maker British-born and produced in Italy. They are one of the few helmet makers that make a true XL/XXL sized helmet fitting heads 23.5"- 25.2" or 60cm - 64cm. Both ear pads and goggle strap are removable.
